The Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship for outstanding students was created to support students who have shown a total commitment to learning, leading to conspicuous success under conditions of special adversity. It is open to students meeting this condition who have completed their final year of school within the 2 years prior to applying for the scholarship, and who are enrolling at JCU in the first year of a full-time undergraduate course of study. The scholarship is valued at $5,000 and is offered for the first year of study only.
